CHART OF THE WEEK
AI and space have become the center of gravity in private markets

Private markets have two winners, and everyone else is playing for scraps.
Two sub-sectors, Aerospace & Space and AI Infrastructure, now tower over everything else in private markets.
It's companies like OpenAI and Anthropic doing the heavy lifting, private AI leaders whose scale has redrawn the map of where capital concentrates. Payments, Data Infrastructure, SaaS, once the backbone of venture value, now look almost modest by comparison. Aerospace & Space's own lead is a preview of where this goes: its biggest name, SpaceX, just completed the largest IPO in history, one path for private value to reach public markets at scale.
The long tail tells its own story. Dozens of sub-sectors, from Defense Tech to Robotics to Clean Energy, are still early in their value creation curve. As more mega-IPOs approach, some of that concentration could start rotating outward.
This is exactly the kind of shift the Stableton Morningstar PitchBook Unicorn 20 strategy is built to capture, giving investors direct exposure to the private blue-chip leaders at the center of where value is being created today.

Anthropic: The AI watchdogs building the future
Dario Amodei and Daniela Amodei, co-founders of Anthropic. (28)
Anthropic's founders helped create some of AI's most powerful systems, then left to build them more responsibly. CEO Dario Amodei led development of GPT-2 and GPT-3 at OpenAI before departing in 2021 with his sister Daniela and five colleagues, convinced the industry was moving too fast on capabilities and too slow on safety. (29)
Their approach centers on Constitutional AI, a technique where models learn to critique and correct their own outputs against a set of principles. (30) The company has grown into one of the leading AI labs, backed by Amazon and Google.
Fun Fact: Claude is named after Claude Shannon, the father of information theory. The company itself was almost called "Sponge" or "Sloth" before the team landed on Anthropic, a word meaning "human-centered," partly because the domain was available. (31)
