CEO Talk (6/9) - Alternative Approaches to Diversification

Bill Kelly, the President and CEO of CAIA, sat down with Stableton's CEO Andreas Bezner to discuss various topics driving private markets today. This 2:16-minute video is the sixth in a series of excerpts from that 26-minute conversation. Andreas Bezner, our CEO, discusses the company's investment strategy, which typically focuses on single deals purchased through secondary transactions and a combination of primaries, as well as occasional VC fund secondary strategies. Andreas emphasizes diversification by vintage and industry and mentions that having a long time horizon and a large portfolio is necessary to achieve this level of diversification. He suggests building a portfolio of 10-50 companies and adding ETFs to achieve adequate diversification. Andreas also suggests that passive index products and direct indexing can be a good solution for smaller investors to access a diverse range of companies and that Stableton is working to facilitate access to companies via the secondary market.
